If you talk about Jaipur city and if you think to explore it so you should know the Jaipur is a heritage destination and, there are no. of Historic Places but still have three forts who grab the attraction of Visitors and still must visit places in Jaipur. The first one is the Amer Fort, Jaigarh Fort, and Nahargarh Fort. Aravalli Range is Rajasthan State identity and, these three Forts share the one thing are all located on the Aravalli Hills. 

So here I will tell you about the useful and needed information about Forts of Jaipur.

Firstly I would like to introduce the Amer Fort, One of the famous forts in India. Amer Fort is in the Amber Town and, the distance from Jaipur is around 12km. At the first glance, you would love it because Amer Fort’s structure is like I can’t explain it and there is a small lake, the name is Mavtha Lake. This lake is the reflection of Amer Fort and, in the earlier time, it was the primary source of water for Amber town peoples. The construction of Amer Fort began in 1592 by Maharaja Man Singh l. Amer Fort was the residence of the Rajput Family and, it was made by the Red Stones and Marbles and consist of the Diwan-e-Aam or Hall of Public Audience, Diwan-e-Khas or Hall of Private Audience, Shila Devi Temple, Sheesh Mahal and, Ganesh Pole(Entrance of the Fort).

How to Reach Amer Fort? 

You can reach Amer Fort through the Cab or City Bus or hire a bike, taxi, etc. and As I said earlier Amer Fort is situated on the Aravali hills, so you have two option to reach the Fort, First one is to take the elephant ride and Another one is by your own or hire vehicle.

Jaigarh Fort:

Another Fort on the list is the Jaigrah Fort, or you can say it’s the neighbor of Amer Fort. It was built by the Maharaja Jai Singh ll in 1726 and has the world’s largest Cannon name is Jaivana Cannon. The Jaigarh Fort is also on the edge of Aravali Hills and 400m above the Amer Fort. The best part of the Jaigarh Fort is you can overlook the Amer Fort, Mavtha Lake and, Sagar Lake. Sagar Lake is one of the hidden places in Jaipur and is underrated also. To secure the Amer Fort, Maharaja Jai Singh decided to make another fort is the Jaigarh Fort.

How to Reach Jaigarh Fort?

The Distance of this Fort from Jaipur City is around 11 km and, you will easily reach over there by cab or you will hire your bike or taxi.

Nahargarh Fort:

The third and the last on the list is the Nahargarh Fort. It was built by Maharaja Jai Singh ll in the 18th century. It’s also located at the edge of Aravali Hills and, the best part of this Fort is, you can enjoy 360 views of Jaipur City. Nahargarh means the Abode of Tigers. There is a temple of Nahar Singh Bohmia and, there is a Madhvendra Bhawan also built by the Sawai Madho Singh. The amazing part of this Fort is the Madhvendar Bhawan had 12 Identical suites for each of the 12 Queens of Sawai Madho Singh. 

How to Reach Nahargarh Fort?

You will reach over here by cab or hire a bike, taxi, etc. the distance from Jaipur to Nahargarh is around 15km.
